Somewhere in Seoul, on what should have been an usual Wednesday morning, there were two men peacefully sleeping in their bed, curled up in each other's arms.

The older man had puffy cheeks and small, closed eyes while his six-years-younger lover had even puffier cheeks and the most miniscule eyes an Asian could have. Well, that's what the eldest liked to say to tease him, although he found them completely adorable.

In fact, if you asked Jongwoon what he loved the most about Henry, he would surely enough answer − after he tried 'everything' but that you insisted it wasn't valid − something related to his eyes. The way they twinkle when a source of light illuminates them, the way they squint together when their owner smiles. Yes, he would answer that he loves his boyfriend's tiny eyes at any time, any second of the day!

Except, that is, when the man had just woken up. Then was a very dangerous moment to be around him, for he was as grumpy as forty angry t-rexes brought back to life by a crazy scientist.

And this is why, like every week day, as soon as Henry woke up because of the sound of the alarm clock going off, he practically threw himself on the screaming object, muting its yells by pressing the right button. It wasn't stressful in any way and the boy's brain was still heavily fogged with sleep even after he did that. Those actions simply had mutated into reflexes after the three years he had been waking up with Jongwoon.

However, turning the alarm off before his lover woke up also meant that Henry would be the one with the task to make him open his eyes. It wasn't the funniest thing to do, but as time passed by, the youngest discovered that his gentle shakes and cute whispers made his hyung less frustrated than an incessant, annoying beeping.

So, carefully, the chubby cheeked boy sat up and twisted his middle in order to take a look at the sleeping man. His hair was a mess, strands of it falling in his eyes while others flew in every imaginable direction. It looked a little like its owner had been hit by a lightning, but his peaceful features were suggesting otherwise, more like he was sleeping on a cloud made of cotton candy, watching some turtles fly around.

The Canadian could already imagine those relaxed eyebrows flex to form a frown, those plump lips purse into a pout and those heavy eyelids flutter open to reveal a hard stare.

Yes, for the poor man, who always wondered what it felt like to have sex in the morning, it always had been very much impossible.

Lightly biting his bottom lip, the hamster let his fingers brush against Jongwoon's bare shoulder before he let his palm lay flat on it. The older man's skin was warm and soft, just like the smile now stretching his lips.

Wait, a smile?

Next time Henry knew was that two dark colored eyes were planted into his. He couldn't help but blink a couple of times, trying to proceed what was happening. Surprise was obvious on his face and if he tried to hide it, then his attempts royally failed. "Jongwoon..?" he asked, his voice not higher than a whisper.

"Good morning, beautiful~" murmured an absolutely happy and totally not grumpy Jongwoon. After all, who could wake up mad on the day of his birthday?

The eldest sat up, the other's hand falling to his side. He then stretched lazily, just like a cat would. A joint somewhere in his back popped and a groan of satisfaction slipped past his lips. His old back felt so much better afterwards.

He stared at the younger man for some seconds, obviously waiting for him to say something, but he didn't seem to catch on. So the taller man leaned closer to him and softly kissed the puffy cheeked boy on the lips while he thought that he'd give his boyfriend a chance, since he had just woken up. He couldn't expect a cheerful 'Happy birthday!' from a half asleep person, after all.

The birthday boy then moved away from the hamster, slipping his turtle shaped slippers on before he placed his feet on the floor, letting them lead him to the kitchen, where he proceeded to make a pot of fresh coffee that would help him wake up more.

Today really was something for Jongwoon! he had been waiting for it for it for exactly three hundred and sixty-five days and some additional hours.

A lot of people called him a child because he was always so excited to celebrate his birthday, looking forward to every call, text message and people wishing him a good day, to every gift, to everything! But he didn't mind.

That's what the turtle boy was thinking about as he closed the lid of the coffee pot and that Henry then entered the room, wearing his pajamas from last night.

The calm hamster had a smile playing on his lips as he opened the fridge, a cupboard and a drawer to fish out what he needed to pour himself a bowl of Lucky Charms. He walked to the kitchen table with his arms full of his findings, almost dropping some on the way, but placing everything on the flat surface in the end.

None of the two men spoke during the time the youngest ate his breakfast, since it's quite hard to break a habit of three years, but Jongwoon doesn't mind talking to himself.

I cannot wait until the coffee is ready~You, coffee addict.Hey! I need it to be able to function properly! You're already functioning properly! You're not all grumpy like the other days!…Well…No well! Talk to your boyfriend! He didn't wish you a happy birthday yet!

The older man in the room realized how right that statement was as his head snapped up, his eyes wide. He was going to turn towards  the table where his young lover was sitting the last time he looked, but he felt a light touch on his back, like a finger gently sliding on his skin.

So, instead of looking where he intended to before, be twisted his neck to look at his right, where the digit had last touched him.

Since he had done this really quickly, Jongwoon caught his dongsaeng's back just as he turned the corner to go in the hallway and, because the turtle boy knew him too well, to then go brush his teeth in the bathroom.

The eldest knew that Henry had a small OCD side that made him want to brush his teeth whenever he ate something, so his attitude was quite understandable.

What was less, though, was that the youth hadn't wished his hyung a nice day or at least something to prove that he hadn't forgotten. Never in all the time had the two men known each other had the chubby cheeked boy forgotten an event, wether it was an anniversary or someone's birthday.

Maybe it was a little selfish of the older man to expect something from his life partner this year again. After all, since Henry was a music teacher in high school and that today was just a few days after he start of the school year, his mind must have been clogged with a lot of work related stuff.

Suddenly, the man standing alone in the kitchen, that used to be waiting for his coffee, pulled out a face; he furrowed his brows and pursed out his lips to for a thinking pout.

Yes, he had an idea.

If the younger man was too thoughtful to remember his birthday, maybe the birthday boy could help him catch on. With great subtlety, that is.

A sudden smile flickered onto Jongwoon's features as he walked forward, his steps muted by his green slippers. He turned to walk down the main hallway of their apartment and as soon as he did, he started to whistle a tune known by every human on the planet: the birthday song.

Content because of his wonderful idea, the man threw a lock full of hope as he passed in front of the bathroom, where the hamster was washing his face, small bubbled everywhere on his cheeks.

However, even as the turtle boy whistled louder, the other man's expression didn't change. Henry stayed fully concentrated on his task, his musician's fingers gently scrubbing the skin of his cheeks.

The older man frowned and lightly tapped his chin in thought with his pointer finger once he was sure to be out of his mochi's sight, which meant at the far end of the hallway, in their bedroom. He was staring at the wooden doors of the closet without really noticing, too busy having a conversation with himself. Again.

How could he not hear me?Maybe… Yo, I don't know! I'm yourself, so how could I know something you don't?True… But…You're so whiny today! Get a grip of yourself, sheesh!

To those words, Jongwoon let his hand fall to his side, but kept frowning, although in a slightly different way; a determined one. Everything was going to be okay! His boyfriend would eventually remember and nothing would be wrong.

Well, that's what the birthday boy tried to convince himself with, but he couldn't totally ignore the small feeling of sadness residing in his heart.

He has other things to do that sulk today, anyway, he told himself as he reached out for the handle of the closet's sliding door, making it move on its rails to reveal a multitude of clothes. Some dull colored ones were what Jongwoon had to wear practically every day for work, since he worked in an office all day long as an accountant for a certain company while some brighter clothes were for the week end days and evenings, when he didn't feel like wearing a tie and black pants.

Jongwoon stared at the collection of clothes, mentally noting that he'd have to go shopping in a very close future to buy more colored clothes, because the work ones were starting to outnumber them. Then, he proceeded to pick his day's outfit, because walking out to go to work in his boxers and slippers isn't that appropriate. Well, not at all.

A white button-up shirt, black pants and, since he felt a little wild today, he completed the whole suit with a green tie. If anyone dared to complain about the vibrant color of the accessory, they could go to Hell, because its owner wouldn't do anything about it.

Just as the turtle boy was passing the last button through the last hole, the man felt a hand slide under his chin, making him straighten his neck. Henry placed his plump lips on the eldest's, stealing a kiss away from him.

"I need to leave early this morning," said the puffy cheeked boy, speaking up for the first time that morning. Then, swiftly, he spun around, pulling and pushing on the sliding door to unveil his clothes.

"Why so?" asked Jongwoon, stepping out of his slippers to be able to put his boring, black pants. His young lover leaving that early was something new for, half of the time, he was practically running out of the building not to be late.

"Meeting I have to attend. First of the year. Needless to say it's important to be there." The music teacher was speaking at a quick pace, the slightly accented words rolling off his tongue with ease, almost naturally. He started to dress up and, fast as a lightning, he was done before his boyfriend, who had sat on the bed to put his (black and boring) socks on.

The accountant made a sound of approbation, just to prove that he had understood, before he changed the subject to a completely different topic. "Did you bring something for lunch?" he asked, being the caring lover he always was.

"…Yes," answered the youngest, but it obviously wasn't the truth. Anyone could've told it was a lie because of the not-so-short pause he had made before he spoke up.

The mochi's failed attempt to try not to make his hyung worry made a low chuckle erupt from the latter's lips. "Liar," he teasingly accused. "If you could wait a little, I could make you something to eat," suggested the older man, standing up and wrapping his small digits around the fabric of his tie, ready to place it around his neck.

However, Henry walked up to him with a certain bounce in his step and placed both his hands on the taller man's chest, stopping his movements. He then wrapped his slender fingers around the buttons of Jongwoon's shirt, making them pop off their buttonholes one by one. "I can't−

"What are you doing?" asked the turtle boy, eyes wide as he watched the other slowly open his shirt.

"You hadn't buttoned it up right," simply answered the chubby cheeked boy, then proceeding to close back his lover's shirt, but with each button in it respective hole this time.

Once done, the Canadian reached out for a quick peck on the lips and this time, the eldest met him halfway there, their lips meeting and melting together.

The hamster broke the sweet reunion of their mouths way too fast to the other man's liking, but after a single look into the younger male's eyes, he understood that he had to let him go, so he did.

Jongwoon just stood there, immobile with his green tie in hand as his lover flashed him his day's last grin, walking out of their bedroom with the same bounce than earlier in his step.

The young music teacher, freshly out of the university, seemed really happy to leave for that meeting. Hell, even the noise the front door made when it closed sounded happier than usual.

Which, if you think about it, isn't that weird, because, for Henry, the best thing after playing music was teaching music. So, after all, he had every rights to be happy to go do the second thing he liked to do the most.

But still, to the Korean's mind, something seemed off.

What if his lover went out to, yes, have a meeting, but not about work? What if it was about something more personal? With a person or even people he liked a lot? That he liked so much that he could organize some stuff with them? Some plans that could…

Then man standing alone in the room burst out laughing: Of course! That was it! Henry had left earlier to organize a surprise party with a few of their friends!

The turtle boy shook his head as he continued to laugh, thinking that he had been such an idiot not to see past his dongsaeng's little game way before.

Now, Jongwoon was seeing his day of work from a brand new perspective! And even if he would have to count, add and subtract numbers all day, he bet that they would be smiling to him today.

Henry hadn't forgotten about his birthday! Everything was perfect again!

The accountant's heart was bouncing with happiness in his chest. So much that its owner actually felt like doing a small dance move as he stepped into the deserted, silent kitchen.

He took a minute to tie his tie around his neck and then he paused and looked around for a second, deciding that nothing was holding him back here anymore, in this empty apartment. Plus, if he showed up earlier at work, not only would his boss be really pleased with his employee, but said employee would also be done counting his numbers sooner. And so be home at four in the afternoon instead of five.

Feeling oh! so smart, Jongwoon was going to leave right then, but a small, red light caught his attention, reminding him that he hadn't had his daily dose of caffeine yet.

Hence why he had forgotten about his bed hair, his morning breath and everything that wasn't getting dressed.

So much for the genius he felt like moments ago.

Finally, half an hour later, after he had gulped down his way too hot cup of coffee (burning his tongue once or twice), placed his hair perfectly and brushed his white teeth, the accountant sat in his car and drove on the streets of Seoul to reach his office.

Once he parked his vehicle in a free parking spot there, he tried to empty his head from all the excitement that he wasn't used to feel so early in the morning so he could concentrate better on his work, but he pathetically failed.

So it's with a goofy smile and weird looks on him that he rode the elevator up to his level. He also waved at some coworkers that were friends of his on the way to his office, which all answered him with question marks in their eyes.

Pardon me if I repeat myself, but Jongwoon really isn't a morning person. Usually, that is.

Safely reaching his destination, the turtle boy walked towards his desk, not bothering to close the room's door for, at this hour of the day, the whole level was extremely quiet, wether it was because not a lot of people came in this early or that they weren't completely awake yet. Either way, the new arrivant was grateful for this atmosphere.

He sat on the chair behind his desk, reaching down to press on the power button of his computer, leaving back and waiting for the screen to light up and all the things to load before he touched anything. He opened a drawer, pulling a pair of glasses out of it, delicately placing them on the bridge of his nose. Only then did he click on a folder's icon, quickly reading the titles of the documents it contained as he tried to remember on which one he was working yesterday so he could complete it.

However, before the title came to the birthday boy's mind, two heads slipped past the doorframe, catching his attention. The tallest of them invited himself in, not waiting for Jongwoon's permission. After all, he just had to close the door if he didn't want people to randomly barge in. "Happy birthday, man!" loudly exclaimed the man throwing his arms in the air to show how cheerful and happy he was.

"Thanks, Kyu," said the oldest man in the room, smiling brightly at his interlocutor. He then made a sign to the smaller man who had stayed behind, showing him that he was welcomed.

Ryeowook walked in, stopping next to his coworker. "Happy birthday, hyung~" he said, smiling happily. Unlike Kyuhyun, he was really polite and kept his emotions bottled up, since he was a very shy person. If there was something the turtle boy couldn't understand, it was how in Hell had Kyuhyun been able to crack up the quiet man's shell and befriend him that fast. It was a real mystery.

"Thank you, Wookie," thanked the man behind his desk, his smile growing into a larger grin when the thought that his two coworkers might know about his surprise party crossed his mind.

"It's weird… You're not grumpy today," pointed out Kyuhyun, remembering how Jongwoon had waved at him some time ago.

"Well," started the accountant, his smile reaching his ears by now. "I'm pretty sure Henry is preparing a party for my birthday," he said, forcing himself to stay still, to not bounce on his seat. After all, if what he thought was true, his two coworkers would surely be invited and so he could read the truth on their features.
His two friends looked at each other, then back at their hyung. "Well, we didn't hear anything about such a thing," said the youngest, which Ryeowook slapped his arm for, a frown on his face.

"Maybe it's something just with his family," the small man told Kyuhyun, apologizing with a soft look towards the turtle boy. If there wasn't going to be a party for him, he didn't mean to be the one bursting the eldest's bubble of hope.

Quickly, the sitting man analyzed the situation from behind his glasses, trying not to let any detail slip from his fingers. To start with, Henry gad rushed out of their apartment to attend a supposedly school-related meeting, then Kyuhyun and Ryeowook came to his office to wish him a happy birthday and finally, they acted as if they knew nothing.

But, and that was a detail of high importance, Ryeowook couldn't lie at all. Wether it was about a secret someone had told him or anything else (like a surprise party), the truth could be read on his face as well as words written in a book.

"But then…" trailed off the accountant, pinching the bridge of his nose, making his glassed ride up a bit. "You're saying the truth?" he asked, letting his arm fall to his side, the frames falling back in place.

"I'm sorry," apologized the smallest man in the room, looking sheepish for he knew he had killed his coworker's hopes.

Kyuhyun, like the brat he was, cleared his throat, grabbing the first chance he had to escape this uneasy situation. "I'll… err, go continue my work," he said, turning around and leaving after he very obviously winked at Ryeowook.

"W-What was that for?" wondered the latter, left alone to repair the damages his dongsaeng had caused first.

"I think he was hitting on you, Wookie," suggested the accountant from his chair, slightly amused by his friend's confused expression despite the despair he felt.

The youngest shook his head violently, his eyes wide as he denied the possibility of this.

He bowed a bit, muttered something Jongwoon failed to hear and then left, looking all fidgety and nervous.

Alone again in front of his computer, the turtle lover let his thoughts wander around, thinking about how gullible Ryeowook was to deny the obvious. He recalled the many times Kyuhyun had walked in his office just to bother him and that he talked about how great, how elastic the cute man's butt and thighs looked when he walked up and down the hallways to distribute some documents to the employees.

But that was it. Then, the accountant locked every not work-related thought away in the darkest corner of his brain to make sure nothing else would disturb his day.

After all, he had to go home early today so that he could not be welcomed by his friends, balloons and cake. In the end, the truth was cruel and it really seemed like his lover had forgotten about his birthday.

The day went by slowly, but Jongwoon managed to finish everything he wanted to, only in a little more time that he had expected because of all the 'Happy birthday!' text messages he kept receiving from his friends and family. But none from Henry.

The turtle boy turned off the computer, moved some stuff on the surface of his desk and finally put his glasses away in a drawer, rubbing his eyes. He exited his office, locking the door behind him and walked to the elevator.

Once out of the thing, he walked out of the building and to his car, sulking during all the time he drove back home.

The accountant parked his car just next to his lover's, happy to see that he at least wouldn't be home alone on a day like that.

He then proceeded to enter the building, climbing all the stairs up to the third level, sighing in relief as he faces the door to the apartment he shared with Henry.

Home, sweet home.

Jongwoon had hung a smile on his face and his mood had lightened up to the sole thought of being with his little mochi, so when he opened the door and stepped in, the first thing the youngest saw when his head snapped towards the entrance was a seemingly happy man. His happy man.

The chubby cheeked boy sprung up from his place on the couch placed in the living room, which was directly connected to the entrance, and half-walked, half-skipped to go meet his boyfriend. "Welcome home~" he said in a sing-song voice, a bright smile on his plump lips.

The happiness on the hamster's features was contagious and soon, it reached the older man's heart, making it beat a tad faster. Even when they kissed, the Korean couldn't purse his lips out properly because a beautiful grin was spread across his face.

"Thank you, Beautiful~" said the tallest once they broke the small kiss.

The youngest accepted the nickname in silence, pulling back to let his hyung take his shoes off and empty his pockets onto the small table used exactly for this purpose.

Once Jongwoon had gotten rid of all the extra stuff he didn't need anymore, he let the mochi pull him into the living room and then push him onto the couch. He chuckled when the shorter man snuggled against him, knowing what was coming next just with one look at the television's screen.

"It looks so good!" chirped Henry, his eyes glued to the screen. Yes, he was watching a cooking show, drooling and salivating because of all the food the people were preparing. "I might actually go get the recipe on the internet later," he said, licking his lips.

The turtle boy rolled his eyes playfully although he perfectly knew that his dongsaeng couldn't see him since he was too caught up in the show. "We could try it out one night this week," he suggested. "Just make sure to write down all the ingredients so we can get them next time we go grocery shopping," he added, his right arm instinctively wrapping around his lover's shoulders.

The musician didn't answer, but the eldest knew he was just too taken by the food on television to do so. You must have been blind not to notice, anyway, because Henry was staring at the screen really intently. Maybe he thought that if he stared at the food long enough, it would pass through the glass of the electronic appliance and land into his mouth?

The Korean thought that his young lover liked food too much sometimes. Especially now, when, as the people in the show started to taste what he had been prepared earlier, the puffy cheeked boy's stomach growled loudly.

A frank laugh erupted from Jongwoon's lips as his life partner shifted in embarrassment. "Hungry, maybe?" asked the taller male, amusement audible in his voice.

"Mhh…" vaguely made the mochi, then looking up at his hyung. "What about you?" he asked. He wanted to make sure that they wouldn't cook dinner just for himself.

"Yes… I skipped breakfast and lunch, so," explained the turtle boy. He watched as Henry's mouth curved into a toothless smile. "And with the face you're making, I guess you didn't listen to me and ate lunch, eh?" he asked, visibly right, for his interlocutor nodded.

"Let's do this~" mused the youngest, closing the television thanks to the remote that was placed close to him, then standing up, turning to walk to the kitchen. He let out a small surprised gasp as he felt a hand pat his butt. The puffy cheeked boy spun around, only to see that his boyfriend had stood up and that he was grinning.

"Go, go~" urged the turtle boy, giving a soft tap on the Canadian's flat stomach, which pulled a small giggle from his full lips, a sound that Jongwoon loved to hear.

They both walked to the kitchen, looking into the fridge and pantry to find something the two of them would like to eat. After one or two suggestions, they decided that they would make some noodles with vegetables cooked in a tasty Thai sauce.

The cooking went well if we forgot about the two times the older male burnt himself on the pan he was cooking the veggies in. It wasn't that bad at all, but it left two red marks on his index finger and the back of his hand.

The couple then sat at the table with their plates, eating calmly as they talked about their day. Henry's anecdotes were always funnier than Jongwoon's, since he worked with living teenagers  although he sometimes doubted those zombies' capability to react to events  instead than with inanimate, boring numbers.

They laughed and continued talked all the time they ate, cleaned up and washed the dishes. Everything was done so much faster when the two men worked in team and the time they spent doing that seemed to fly by when they joked, teased or flirted with each other.

By the time the dishes they had used were back into the cupboards or into the drawers, sparkling clean, it was a bit passed seven o'clock in the afternoon.

The hamster had asked his boyfriend if they could watch a movie to make the rest of the night go on faster, since Wednesdays were pretty uneventful.

Of course, the Korean accepted, but with a very small hint of sadness resting in his eyes for he just had been reminded that Henry didn't remember the day of his birth. And to say that he had almost succeeded at pushing those thoughts away…

The turtle boy allowed himself one last thought about this subject before he would definitely lock them away; he would obviously have to mention the little problem to his boyfriend before the day finished. The hamster would be saddened and troubled by his oversight, but his hyung wouldn't let him sulk over it and everything would soon go back to normal, like nothing happened.

Then, he sat down on the couch next to his lover and turned his hyperactive brain off.

The puffy cheeked boy immediately scooped closer to the other male, placing his head on his shoulder as the movie they had chosen to watch started to play.

Jongwoon tried really hard to concentrate on what was going on the screen, but at some point it became completely impossible because the smaller man just wouldn't stay still. He was shifting, stretching, crossing and uncrossing his legs, tapping his foot and even playing an imaginary piano on his thigh.

Trying to figure out what was going on, the eldest took a chance. "Have you seen this movie before, babe?" he asked. To him, it was very logical that if his dongsaeng had seen the film, he would become bored and unable to pay attention, just able to move around to distract himself.

"No. Why are you asking?" The musician answered with a question. He was looking up at his boyfriend with a spark of curiosity in his eyes, not even his pinky finger moving now.

Suddenly, it was just as if Jongwoon had imagined everything, every single tiny movement. "No reason," he let out, slightly frowning as he turned back to the screen to watch the movie, although he had no idea of what it was about for he missed practically the whole beginning and some of the important following events.

Henry shrugged. His lover wasn't known to have an ordinary behavior after all. No, his reactions to things were all slightly peculiar, very strange and also extremely bizarre. It was Jongwoon. And this detail about him made him who he was.

However, at that exact moment, if anyone looked at the couple, they would said that the younger man was the weirdest of them, because the time he and the turtle boy had talked, he simply had taken a short pause. He was now back at it, playing with a strand of his hair as he tapped his foot on the carpeted floor.

The actions themselves didn't affect the eldest the slightest, but oh, the fast that he didn't know why his little mochi was like that totally ticked him off. He could feel nervousness in the other's movements, but when he looked at his face from the corner of his eye, the accountant couldn't see that emotion on the youth's features.

Actually, the Korean was going to question the smaller man once more, but before he had the chance to part his lips and pronounce a single word, the music teacher sprung to his feet, bolting for the kitchen.

"Henry?" wondered Jongwoon, who was going to stand up and go take a look at what the Hell his dongsaeng thought was so urgent that he had to run to whatever with it.

"I'm just getting food~!" exclaimed the puffy cheeked boy from the kitchen, successfully reassuring his hyung.

The eldest relaxed into the couch, nodding to himself.

Everything made sense now! The forever hungry boy was simply fighting the urge to go get some food back then, so it was nothing to worry over concluded the turtle boy.

Some sound of cupboards door being hurriedly closed shut reached the eldest's ear and he smile to himself, knowing his lover would soon be back in his arms.

Indeed, less than a minute later, the youngest was sitting on the couch again, but with a bowl of chips on his lap. He took some in his hands, shoving them into his mouth without caution, so some crumbs fell on his shirt while he struggled to push one rebellious piece of chips past his lips.

It amused the accountant to see such an adorable boy stuff his face like that, his mouth so filled that he wouldn't be able to pronounce a single syllable without spitting some pieces of food everywhere.

…Unable to talk, huh?

Jongwoon quirked an eyebrow at the chubby cheeked boy, who couldn't see him since now he was paying attention to the movie, a brilliant idea popping up in his head: if the Canadian couldn't speak right now, it was the best moment to tell him that he had forgotten about a little something today.

So the accountant took a deep breath, ready to act. "You know, love, today was an important day…" he started. Henry slowly turned to him, his cheeks puffed out because of the food they hid as he chewed slowly. For some reason, his eyes also were wide open, but why? His hyung didn't know. "And maybe you−"

"What are you talking about?!" he suddenly exclaimed, his tone of voice tinted with curiosity. He had swallowed his mouthful so fast that the taller man was surprised he hadn't choked on it.

"Well−"

"It's Wednesday, nothing is that special on those days," said the mochi, cutting off his lover for a second time.

"If you'd let me−"

"Or maybe I didn't know?" asked the musician, cocking his head to the side. He looked almost kind and innocent like that.

The turtle boy sighed as he wondered why his usually very polite boyfriend kept cutting him off like that so suddenly. He took another breath in, ready to try one more time.

The Korean parted his lips and, this time, he was forced to shut up before he even started. In fact, the vibrations of his cellphone in his pocket surprised him quite a bit and all his attention was suddenly directed towards the object screaming to be taken care of.

He fished out the small electronic appliance, looking at the bright screen that was telling him he just had received a text message from Hyukjae.

"Just a sec," he muttered to his boyfriend. He then opened the message, a smile gracing his features as his eyes caressed the screen.

"hey! i know its in the middle of the week but wat bout we go out 4 a drink 2 celebrate your bday?!"

Jongwoon's heartbeat sped up at the idea of celebrating his birthday. He wasn't a huge fan of alcohol, but going out was a great idea anyway (fuck the fact that he had to wake up for another day of work tomorrow).

He was going to text his friend back to accept and ask for the place they'd go at, but the sensation of a pair of eyes burning into his skin reminded him that he wasn't alone and that he still had to tell his lover… Maybe he could keep this for the car ride.

The accountant looked at his life partner, offering him a bright smile. "You who were saying Wednesdays were boring, what about an evening out?" he asked waving his cellphone in the youngest's face.

The puffy cheeked boy nodded without, not even asking why his boyfriend had received such a text, who they would go with or anything. The older man assumed the Canadian must have been really bored to become this enthusiastic.

"Just let me go brush my teeth before you get in the shower," chirped the young music teacher, placing the bowl of chips safely next to him before he stood up and skipped, literally skipped, to the bathroom.

Left alone in the living room, Jongwoon replayed the past events in his head.

Henry had told him to take a shower? Did he smell bad? Was his hair awful?

The Korean has started to inspect himself, touching his clothes and hi skin with a frown on his face, wondering if something was wrong.

The mochi coming back in the living room made him stop in the middle of his inspection, though, and he stood up, then walked a tad stiffly to the bathroom.

Once in there, he looked at his reflection in the mirror closely, but even after five minutes of intense staring, he didn't find anything strange about himself.

Sighing in despair in confusion, he turned the water on. It fell on the shower's floor at a steady flow and the turtle boy slipped his body under the hot stream once he had completely stripped.

The liquid falling on his shoulders felt as it was washing off all the negativity Jongwoon had kept inside of him all day long. The shampoo and soap helped even more and after he was done, the man just felt incredibly better.

He thought that maybe that was why Henry had indirectly sent him in the shower; so he could wash off his day's every thought.
After he dried himself with a towel he then tied around his hips, he picked up his clothes and put them in the dirty clothes basket. He also took a small towel in his hand, planning on drying his hair with it in some minutes.

So, with his body almost completely exposed, his broad shoulders, defined pecks and flat stomach waving to the world, he stepped out of the steamy bathroom.

He threw a glance in direction of the living room, where he thought the youngest would be, only to notice that it was silent and darker. Obviously, the television had been closed.

So where was the chubby cheeked boy? "Henry?" called out the eldest as he started to walk towards the living room.

"I'm in our bedroom!" shouted the younger man from that exact room. The accountant spun around and followed the voice, eventually pushing the door open.

The sight he happened to catch knocked the breath out of his lungs and made his brain go numb for a moment, causing him to drop the small towel he previously held loosely.
